It has been 1yr , 5 mnths now that i left my husband's house after making a G.D. entry for dowry & mental & physical harassment (Didnot go for FIR) Can the court force my husband to work in my hometown as I will feel safe in front of my parents? Can the court ask my husband to stay with me away from his parents? How safe is it to go back to my husband if he & his parents take the guarantee before the court that they will not torture me anymore? Will the marriage be considered null & void after 2 yrs of seperation? Pl guide me

knowing the facts and circumstances of your own case, you have to see whether or not your marriage can be saved. The court cannot force your husband to work in your hometown. It is his sweet desire. No, the court even cannot compel him to stay with you away from his parents. No marriage is null and void merely because there is 2 years of seperation. Desertion is a ground of divorce, but not null and void.
