I was adopted when aged 14 legally. I am now an adult aged 27 years. My adopted father has been arrested on account of some unlawful activity, but yet to be proven guilty. I am now an working professional and have not had a very comfortable relationship with my adopted father over the years. I do not want to have any relatonship with him any further due to past and also due to his present arrest due to unlawful activity. Fathers arrest and behaviour will impact my job and professional if it becomes public and also will impact my marriage and personal life. What is the way out of this relationship

You can give in the news paper detailing that you have severed ties with your adoptive father.Start living separately. I would like to know whether certificates and other documents bears his name?

once adopted, it cannot be cancelled merely on the ground of arrest of adoptive father. you gotta live with the reality.
