Legal Question in Family Law in India

i have adopted a child from govt agency in delhi.but i live in shimla.does it effect section 118 of hp tennancy act.because some of my friends told me that in himachal only agricultrist can be adopted

After an adoption under the Hindu Adoption & Maintenance Act, the child or the adopted parents may live anywhere in the world. The place of residence will not affect the adoption.
