my father has 03 sons A B & C. A & B are married. suddenly B dies living behind two minor daughters aged 03 & 02 years respectively. After the death of B his wife left her matrimonial home and started living with her parents. B's wife is illeterate and unemployed. After six months she approached my father to give her eldest daughter in adoption.My father who is her father in law aged above 65 years. Can he has legal right to take her eldest daughter in adoption.how can he take the custody of the minor girl what document to be executed and how please advise

A draft of adoption can be downloaded from HAMA-1956 and registered as per the law before the registrar.

You may contact a local lawyer for preparing a Deed of Adoption in terms of the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act.
