Adotion of Child from previous Marriage
I got divorced in 2007 and remarried in 2008. I have a son from previous marriage and my new husband want to adopt my child. My ex had already given me all the rights of my son. I have not taken any maintenance/alimony from him. He has also not taken any visitng rights. He is married and settled but he donot want to sign the adoption papers as he feels in future he may need my son when he get old. Please let me know how can I get my son adopted to new husband who is ready to take his whole responsibility. whereas ex never even contacted my son for past 2yrs.

There is no legal provision authorizing your husband to adopt your son without consent of your previous husband.

Only way is to convince the natural father (your Ex- husband)
