bigamy is an offence under Indian Penal Code. For divorce, adultery and/or mental cruelty are grounds.

in case the husband is cheating someone else's wife, then the husband of that wife can lodge a criminal case against the adulterer husband u/s 498 of the IPC. the aggrieved wife has only option to file a petition of divorce on the grounds of adultery.
