the procedure is totally wrong. Police doesn't have any power asking your husband to take divorce or to grant you divorce. engage a lawyer and file petition in court.

Hello,

First you cannot write any application to police to pressurise any one.

If, you have requested the police for any particular reason for justice, and the police has helped you; still it is spouse's choice to opt for mutual divorce.

Now, if he is not ready for mutual divorce than please proceed with divorce case.

Contact us personally to know the basis on which you can file divorce, particularly in your present situation.
