in case your daughter is staying with the lady and not with the mother, she may do so.
IS IT A LEGAL QUESTION????
ANYWAY as far as I know, Kanyadaan can be done by her as she is having the status of mother, even if it is not legally established. This is the question of Hindu Rituals and Hindu relationships are governed by Hindu Mythology and other religious books.
For your satisfaction its better to ask your Pandit for this. I dont think that there is any problem in it.
With due respect, I disagreeto the opinion of Sh Rajiv Gupta Advocate. I dont think that staying with each other is required for Kanyadaan.
Where is your wife ? Where does your daughter live ? What is the stage of your Divorce case ? What grounds have you taken to get Divorce from your wife ?Please clarify.
it is a social, religious question and not a legal question.
