Legal Question in Family Law in India
For applying divorce under section 13B, is there a need for lawyers from both sides, or if it can be done with anyone's counsel?

No counsel may be needed. The parties may file the petition on a prescribed proforma alongwith their affidavits. In any case, one lawyer may file the consent for both the parties.

to file a petition under mutual consent, the counsel is required as there are alot many formalities that are to be done right from verification of affidavits to convincing the court about the grounds on which the mutual consent is being preferred. its advisable to hire a counsel to file the petition.
