Legal Question in Family Law in India

we got aquittal in 498a and the order for 125 and sec9 is yet pending.the girl is well educated and can earn by her own and not dependdent.also she has no responsibities on her shoulders .how much maintenance i have to pay in both the cases.please guide.

in case you have been acquitted in 498a, you need to reproduce the order of the court here and if the order shows enough evidence against the girl, you may not even have to pay maintenance.

Acquittal in 498-A has NO bearing on your liability to pay maintenance. Nor can you avoid your responsibility on account of her "ability" to earn.

The maintenance may be determined depending upon your "standard of living" at the time of separation.
