i had an arranged married in november 2011. I sufferred a lot of stress with my in laws. the reasons were very small day to day issues fights. i ater found out that my mother in law did not approve of me before marraige but had consented as she coud not get a better proposal. she also did not like that i had left my job which had night shifts, just before marraige, on insistance of my husband itself. one day she constantly kept calling my husband in office asking why i was not going for an interview and sitting only at home. i had told her there was no interview that day. I had to atlast leave home at afternoon and pass time in a mall till evening. later matters were worse as we were seperated but she kept asking my husband to come back to her house on every free day he had or any festival. our fights started increasing and my husband left me as he did not want to leave his mother. he has not contacted me sinc then . we are seperated since august 2011. he has informed his brothers wife that he wants a divorce. no papers sent yet. his mother has gone ahead and spread that i am mentally ill and so would ask for a divorce on that basis. pls advise as soon as possible, what my course of action should be. thanks.

Divorce is not possible within one year. You must leach lesson to your in laws. Prefer criminal complaint and put them behind bars at least to save next victim.
Before proceeding any further it is necessary to know as to what exactly you want and how to proceed.
If you want to go for a Divorce then yes you can proceed with it and can also move with other things also accordingly.
