I am a bachelor. I want to adopt a girl child please tell me the procedure and the laws on this regard.

you may adopt the girl child but for that you need to go through an agency called CARA, situate in RK Puram, New Delhi. you may check its website for details.

If you are an indian Hindu and want to adopt a girl child from an orphanage then you need to approach CARA or else you can adopt a child from your family then you dont need CARA. You should be 21 years older in age from the girl.
