this is a case where annulment of marriage can be prayed for and the marriage would be declared void ab initio. the circumstances are to be pleaded for getting the decree of annulment. furthermore, compensation can be sought for the mental torture and agony caused to the girl and she can file a complaint under domestic violence act in this regard and domestic violence is considered an offence in most of the countries.
