Legal Question in Family Law in India

Call for Papers by HC

Both of us had applied divorce 3 years back separately, I got the divorce one year back on my favor.?

still she has not got on her favor, but today i heard that, status is ''Call for Papers'' by High Court. What do you mean by it, what will be consequences and impact ? Will the divorce judgement by the Additonal lower family court will become void in such cases ?

it is not mutual consent, but we separately applied between 1 month gap

Ask your advocate to find out whether your wife has approached High Court challenging the order.

Re: Call for Papers by HC

it is possible that your wife might have challenged the divorce decree in the High court granted in your favor. i think you must have got the ex-paete divorce. high court can call the record of lower court after admitting an appeal against an order or decree.

judgement will not become void automatically unless the high court paass an order of setting aside it.
