Name Change after Marriage
Indian National girl getting married to a UK citizen in New Delhi, India. Both are currently in UK. What are the options and procedures for registering the marriage and getting marriage certificate? Will need to marry in court and apply for certificate before public ceremony(to be held on 25th Feb 08) as I have to apply for settlement visa as soon as I get the marriage certificate. This is due to biometrics test for which one should have clean, non-tattoed or henna stained hands and to start the visa procedure as soon as we get the certificate. With each option of registration, please provide the details of documents that will be required.

Since the parties are in UK, unless you intend visiting India for this purpose only, the laws and procedure of UK will apply. You will need to contact the authorities of your area in UK.

for getting marriage certificate u have to be married
u can marry in court or in mandir and then get the certificate
if the money is spent lavishly then it can be done in 1-2 weeks
