Legal Question in Family Law in India

Regarding Chargesheet-I had filed a case against my inlaws, hubby and sis-in-law of 498a and domestic voilence..they all got bail..i have not recovered by entire stridhan, office certificates and furniture..fir was filed in aug 2009 and they got bail on dec 5 2009 ..how much time will it take for the women cell to file a chargesheet i am living in delhi..I have met the IO and the SHO of nanakpura. I had to send 2 reminders to the DCP on email then only I got a call from the SHO..they had a very laid back attitude and said that they would call my husband to handover my documents but it wud tk some time in filing the chargesheet..i was told that i will get a call in 2 weeks. Again 1 entire week has passed without any intimation on the streedhan part, I have again sent out an email to the DCP. Please tell me is their any other organization which can help me in recovering my stridhan?

you need to send details of f.i.r....it may be so that by perusing the FIR, the offence is not made out. in 498a cases, generally the charge sheet is filed pretty late.

You may pursue the matter through some women organization in your area. You may also consider making a complaint to the NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR WOMEN, NEW DELHI .-

Besides, you may also be entitled to pursue your remedy under the Domestic Violence Act.
