Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hi. I am from chennai. I recently had a baby boy and in the process of Birth Certificate. I have a confusion regarding the naming convention to be used. In south India everyone use Initials in fron their name and no family names attached to them. My name is like that too. However me & my brother decided to use part of my father's name as the Family Name and would like to continue this trend from this generation. In that case my name will not appear anywhere in the new born baby's birth certificate. For example:

Baby Name: X

Decided Family name: Z

name to be given in Birth cert:

X Z ( no intials here )

baby's father Name: M.A B C.

Please advise me if this correct. Will there be any legal problems in future ?
