us child custody in india
my friend planning to get divorce from husband who has h1b visa status and mother is in family visa.both are Indians.but the 9 month old kid is us citizen.Can the mother apply for child custody in india?

Yes, the mother is entitled to pursue her remedies as per Indian laws; and if the child is in India, she may even apply for an order seeking to restrain the husband from interfering in her custody. She may also claim child support from her husband.
