child's custody

My wife as applied for divorce.Since from 2 year's we have seperated,my son ,age 6 years,is living with me from 2 years,now she wants the divorce and custody of child. I am ready to give her divorce,but not the custody of child,also my son wants to live with me,from last 2 years not even--name removed--single time his mother has seen him.can I get the custody of my son?

You may seek child custody; the court may pass appropriate orders after examining the child's welfare including his education; as also his mother's social standing, educational and other qualifications. The courts in India have child's welfare as the "paramount consideration" in choosing a person for awarding custody. The continuation of arrangement is also one of the facts unless there is any other intervening factor.
