Clarification DVA1

Previous forum comunication. DVA Act only for Female? what about Male? she also making mental harrsement to me, i need also file case please let me know. Today most of the indian laws support female candidates some body they are using misuse purpose. Please let me know how i can approach

The Act has been passed to protect females from violence, if any, that may be committed against them by males. The law recognize females as 'weaker' section of the society vulnerable to abuse by males. there is no such fear for the males. However, there are other normal laws one may take recourse for preventing wrong-doing, if any, against him by a woman / wife. But one cannot avoid his responsibility towards his wife for providing maintenance and residence etc. as mentioned in DVA.
