if a couple is divorced and their child is born after divorce,does the father have rights over the child's custody?

if it is from the former husband then yes but it will be difficult for father to get custody till child attains atleast 12 yrs.

Yes, the father will have same rights as are available prior to divorce. The nature of custody - physical or visitation rights - will be decided by custody court; or else you may reach an amicable settlement.

the custody of the child would go to the spouse with who the utmost interest and welfare of the child lies. generally it goes to mother but a father can prove that he is the best parent for custody....
