if Cruelty ground proove in court evn then i need to pay maintainence to my wife?She is torturing me & no physical relation with me.Fir is there against me in punjab wat to do in this pls suggest iam fedup of her we r staying seprately from my parents evn then threatening me that fir will not cancel do wat evr you can.pls help

the lawyer needs to go through the contents of f.i.r. and then the legal remedy in your situation can be suggested.
Your statement is not complete. An appropriate answer may depend upon the nature of the proceedings where the "cruelty" been proved. You may not succeed in avoiding maintenance just because criminal proceedings have been initiated by her.
You may compromise the matter with her by entering into a MOU and paying a one time alimony and then file a divorce by mutual consent u/s 13B of HMA ( only if you are a hindu) where after you can file quashing of the FIR u/s 482 of CrPC and then stay in peace or remarry again.
