Daughter's right
had a Hindu marriage.recently divorced.I agreed to sign without any support to get out peacefully.Father had the papers written 'mother will support all current & future expenses of daughter'.Is this legal.my girl is 161/2 & will be going to US college soon.Father has 2 properties in his name.He is paying for son's college in india.he has not supported.what happens to his property will both kids have equal rights or he can leave it for the son only.we built the property after marriage but i dont want it only want o protect the kids.what if he remarries?can i send in my divorce papers to be reviewed by someone.

Whether the Fathers property is ancestral or self acquired is not clear from the Facts.You can get your divorce papers reviewed from some good lawyer nearby.You can also ask for maintainence from him for your children.

i the property is self acquired property of husband then he is free to give it to any person of his choice and as one property is built after marriage by your support then you can claim partition of the same.daughter is entitled to claim maintainance and expenses for her marriage from her father.In case of need contact with details,professional charges are applicable.

Presuming that the property which you have specified is self acquired then father has got full rights and discretion to dispose or to transfer or to gift or sell to anyone on this planet at his will.
