Legal Question in Family Law in India
Dear Expert,
Its been 2 yrs since we are married and we have a 2 months baby, my wife is now living in her parents place(Chennai)for past 6 months as she want to take care of baby. From the 1st day of our relationship we had disputes as my wife is somewhat over possessive and will doubt me so much even I am truthful to her. After sometime I got into so much frustration, in the mean time I got some chance to talk to my ex-girlfriend(we got separated due to some family situations), but I was talking to her only in friendly manner explaining my problems just for some need of console (only mail & phone communications, no other contacts). As my wife already doubtful & always kinda spying me she came to know this and complained to all (both my parents & her parents). After which I felt really sorry and apologized to everyone individually. I regret so much now like whatever she would have done to me, I should not have committed this mistake, I stopped talking to that ex-girl and wanted to be a good husband and father to my child.
But now my wife and her parents started demanding so much, their entire behavior got changed, they have demands like I should change my work location, should stay with my wife in their house only, should not give money to my dad etc... if I don't hear their demands they threaten me that they will put dowry case against me and apply divorce.I am thinking about my sons life and saying yes to them for now to their demands.

I have never got any dowry nor torchered my wife on that basis, only they gifted some regular household things to us,I don't hold any of my wife's jewels or got any money from her or her parents.
Now my question is...Is it possible for them to put dowry case on me?....Is it possible for my wife to get divorce from me with this reason?.... Is it necessary that I should say yes to all their demands?... I need my wife & son for sure and I am ready to take them with me to Bangalore any time(my work place)... Please help me by giving some legal advice....

If they put a false case of Dowry than you can engage a good lawyer and defend it successfully. Similarly you can contest and defend Case for Divorce if you don't want Divorce. Try to settle the matter amicably with help of your parents, common friends and common relatives and take your wife and son with you to Bangalore to avoid misunderstandings.
