Legal Question in Family Law in India
Dear Sir,
After an year's marriied life, my Brother's wife left to her parents for no reason and living with them. Later we've come to know that they are trying to extract money from us. And, now they filed 498A against my parents and me excluding my brother(false case, just to extract money) . They have included me in this case for two reasons, firstly I'm the financial source for my family and secondly I travel abroad frequenly for my business. Their motivation is to 1. Extract more money. 2, stop me going out of country for earning. Please advise as to how to tackle this.

you may file a petition for quashing of the f.i.r. in the high court of your state on the grounds that no cause of action is made out against you and the allegations in the f.i.r are baseless.
