Dear Sir,
I have filed 498a case against my husband and in laws. Now i want to go for divorce. If i try for mutual consent divorce amicable divorce, will my 498a case will be closed or it will continue in court as if i didnt apply for divorce.
Second question. i want my 498a case should go to mediation center. coz what i have demanded from my husband is legal and valid. Pls note that i did not demand even a single rupee from them. but asked him to come out of joint family and live with me. I heard that proceeding in mediation center will be recorded and will be submitted to judge for taking decision.
I really saw hell at my in laws house. Hence i cannot think of going back.

once the mutual consent is filed, all the criminal proceedings may be a part of settlement and need to be quashed. in case you do not want to go back, you may resort to Domestic Violence complaint wherein you demand separate residence along with your husband.
