Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings of the day,

I have filed a case under IPC 498A, against my husband in ahmedabad. now i stay with my parents (due to their ill health) in another city of gujarat, india.

i would like to know if i would be able to transfer my case to my parent's city from ahmedabad?

If yes, i would like to know how? and what could be approx. time duration for the same?

you can transfer your case by filing a transfer petition in the High Court of Gujrat.

The court may also consider the place of residence/work of the opposite party. There has to be some plausible reason for transfer in addition to change in your place of residence.
