Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear sir,

my mother died in an traffic accident in saudi arabia while visiting the county for hajj prilgrimage.

in order to claim insurance money from saudi arabia court we have to produce the legal heirship certificate (lhc) from mumbai.

can you please advise from where i can get the lhc because i contacted the mumbai collector office but they said they cannot issue to general citizens they are allowed to issue lhc to govt. employees only.

please reply sir.

you can get the same from your local civil court.

you will have to apply for the Succession Certificate before the Administrative Civil Judge of your district in the district courts. All the legal heirs jointly will have to apply. .
