Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear Sir,

My wife is adopted and now her mother is not there, But her father is old and now stuck in other woman at the age of 79. my wife and me stay along with him and now he refuse to allow for stay at home.

Since they have adopted legally and now he is saying that u quit from here i will not give anything and this house was purchased by her mother after retiremnt. So kindly suggest what to be done.
