Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear sir,

Pls suggest me or clear my doubts reg to:-

1) I am a woman harassed by my mil & their neighbours & no support from my husband

they kept me in separate house stating that there is no understanding b/wm both mil & dil

after that my hubby never used to come to my house. there the quarallel started

2) he left our rented house stating that he has got job in mumbai, later on he never returned

now he is sitting in my mil's house. Every thing was preplanned . so now he is asking for divorce

where in refused to give.

3) now he is asking me vacate the rented house stating that i shld come & stay wid my mil's

listen whatever they say & i shld live like a slave & i should be under my hubbys control

4) in my case rent agreement is in my hubbys name:- i know they are indirectly asking for me

to give back the advance money which was given to our house owner or else i shoudl vacate the rented house & stay in my in laws house. So, wht action i can take if my hubby takes back his advance money from the owner. As the rented agreement gets over wid in few months

5) since mil harassed me a lot i dont want to go to their house.so i am asking my hubby to come & stay wid me in rented house. So wld the court suggest in our case.

6) wht action i can take against my mil where in she is very tricky in nature.

You M-i-L may be a little more possessive about her son who is more like a 'mama's boy' than a man belonging to his spouse. Try for an amicable solution; if you think you are suffering because of any cruelty or violence on their part, you may consider filing a criminal case with the local police under Section 498-A I.P.C.. You may also consider filing a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act and pray for an order of protection as also a direction that your husband should continue payment of rent of the house where you are living.
