Legal Question in Family Law in India

Dear Sudarshan Goel saab,

My name is Ranjith from kannur, Kerala .thank you very much for your quick answer regarding my question about the ration card today(24/10/11). sir my doubt is that my mother got the ration card in the same adress where I am staying with my wife now. Well is it possible apply again in my name for an independent ration card?. Is it leagally liable for them to hold my ration card like that? not even an attested photocpy of it? Being the only id proof of mine for the time being. severel relatives of mine enquired my mother and sisters to issue me at least attested photocopy. But there reply is it is with their advocate. If what ever the case they are planning to file against me , is there any right for their advocate to hold the ration card such a long time like 4 months. Is it viable to approach the bar council for that? . Or else my mother and sisters along with their advocate making me a fool . sir pls kindly give me a detailed leagal solution for this,
