Legal Question in Family Law in India

i am dhiraj bharat residing in chandigarh......my brother is a psychiatric patient and severely violent.......some days back he quarreled with all the family members and then started physically abusing my father and mother..........seeing this i intervened and in that process we all got hurt.......then he left the home and went to hospital and now he is saying that he will file case of domestic violence against me and my dad........my dad is a govt servant and i am about to join the position of assistant professor in a govt engineering college........how can we prevent ourself from this

To begin with , Domestic violence act is only for women and not for men. Only women can file a complaint under this act. the domestice v act is only for aggreived for women, at the maximum your brother can file a complaint in police , however there is no need to worry. you or your father can also file complaint againsst him
