Divorce

I'm an Indian, working in Kuwait. I have been married for around 2 yrs. Unfortunately things aren't working out between us? We have no kids. I would like to file for divorce, what should i do if my wife does not comply? What are the legal issues? Can i get divorced even if she thinks otherwise? How long will the whole procedure take...? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease HELP?

You cannot seek divorce merely because you wish you or merely because you may started disliking her.

please spell out the differences between the two of you;

a contested divorce take very long; meanwhile, you will have to pay her litigation expense as also maintenance/ alimony.

Try for divorce by mutual consent Talk to your wife for it.you can also file divorce case which may take 3-4 years or more.The facts provided by you are not sufficient to suggest grounds etc.

try to sort out things otherwise try to get mutual divorce.

one sided filed divorce may take some time but it can not be quantified. it can be in very short period and it may take time too. it depends on advocate too.

You may file divorce case where your marriage was solemnized and also where you and your wife lastly resided as husband and wife.

Grant of divorce by the court will depend upon the grounds and facts of your case.

There is no limit of time but it takes about 2-3 years.

you can file for divorce at tehplace where you were married are where you last resided together. if she agrees it may take short time if it is contested may take atleast 2-3 years
