In case of divorce what happens to the gifts given by the husband's family to the bride

All such gifts are absolute ownership of the bride. It forms part of her 'istridhan' and if the in-laws family try to deprive her of these articles, it may be an offence u/s 406 IPC.

The same is stree dhan and hence absolute property of the bride.
