Legal Question in Family Law in India

Divorce when both the parties are in different countries

I have been married for two years now .I was married in India and I am here on a H1B visa .

My husband in Kuwait .We would both like to get a divorce .Since we have been married under the Christian act ,

is it possible to get a divorce ?

I live in Denver,Colorado now , is it possible that a Colorado divorce be valid in India ?.

If I do need to go to India for filing my divorce papers what are the legal procedures to be followed ?.

Since both of you are Indian Nationals, you can be granted a divorce only by Indian Courts. If your husband is also agreeable to a divorce then neither of you needs to come here and the divorce petition can be filed by an attorney in India. Please send particulars regarding date of marriage, reason for divorce etc.
