Hi,

I want divorce from my wife , because she is characterless,will i get divorce? we have did registered marraige as per Hindu marriage act before 1 yr only.Please suggest me.Now the case is in"Mahila Takrar Niwaran Kendra".her family is file fake complaint of dowry against our family, but we have done love marriage against my parents and was living separate from them.so there is no involment of my parents.and now i am with my parents.and she is with her parents.

Please suggest

In case you want to divorce him, it will be a case of unilateral and you may be directed to pay compensation (lumpsum or periodically). Alternatively, in case it is a mutual divorce, there is no compensation as such. Or in case you can prove her charterless, you will get rid.

Regarding their complaints of dowry, you can defend it as false and i think you will be able to prove of having not taken any dowri and for that they will be penalised having filed a victitious case against you.
