Divorce.
I am a 27 year old woman. I was married to a man at the age of 19. He was a henpecker so I filed adivorce case . Now the councellings are over, but he strongly denies a divorce and says that he will not let me live with another man. Is it possible to get a legal divorce if my spouse denies to give a divorce.?

It is presumed that you are married as per Hindu rites and governed by Hindu Law. In Hindu Marriage Act,certain grounds/reasons are given for seeking divorce by any spouce from other. You have not specified any reason for the seeking divorce from your husband.. Please therefore contact with details for apprpriate legal advice. Proffesional charges will apply..

sure you can seek divorce against consent of your spouse. you need to establish that living with him will amount to committing a "cruelty" on you and that it will endanger your life affecting seriously your mental, physical and emotional health.

Contact a local lawyer and file divorce on the grounds of cruelty.
