Legal Question in Family Law in India

domestic violence act

sir

i had filed a case under domestic violence act against my husband and in-laws.we then went for a compromise in the court with some terms and conditions.now my husband is pressurising me to cancel those terms and conditions oterwise he will file a litigation against me in high court asserting that i have pressurised him for the terms and conditions.

sir i want to ask if he can cancel those tems and conditions without my knowledge?

also i will be intimated by the court if my husband file such a litigation against me?

Re: domestic violence act

(a) The threats being given by him are baseless; you may let him file any case he may wish in the High Court as is being threatened by him; there is no need to feel any pressure.

(b) The terms and conditions may not be cancelled without your consent; no decision will be taken by the court against you without serving a notice upon you and asking you to furnish your reply.

There is absolutely no need to feel any pressure or fear. In case your husband continues troubling you, you may revive your criminal complaint against him under 498-A IPC and the DVA.
