regarding dva and arrest

If a women files a case UNDER DVA if her in-laws and husband are not keeping her in their matrimonial hose then what does the court do. does it immediately orders the husband to keep his wife in the matrimonial house..what if husband refuses ..is he arrested? the girl is working she earns a salary of 25k per month

D.V Act cannot be filed against the female in laws.If the woman live in the house the court can give the protection order and the opp.party disobey it then the court can start proceeding against it.

The husband may be directed to vacate the house for his wife. Besides, he may directed to pay her damages / compensation for her sufferance.

If violence is established, the husband and his relatives living jointly may also be arrested. The police may also register a case under section 498-A IPC.
