we hv given dowry to my daughter
in cash and in gold ornament also
after child birth my son-in-law started beating then my daughter
her self complained about this
in police sation oral complaint only then they called the boy and warned not to beat other wise we will take action. Then he stopped beating but when any festival comes if my daughter asks to bring gold from bank locker to wear which gold we have given as gift to my daughter. Her husband is telling that after giving divorce i will give the gold to u in this way he is started torchering and using bad words and also telling that go and give police complaint. kindly help and my daughter is not ready to give divorce beacause one son is there his life will be effected. pl. help us sir.

you can file complaint under Domestic Violence Act or 498A IPC.

If it is a minor family problem like a husband-wife difference, you may ignore.
If your daughter considers that her husband's behaviour is really cruel and she cannot bear with it anymore, she should file a complaint against him u/s 406, 498-A IPC.
She may also file a complaint under D.V.A.
