What is Void marriage ?

A marriage which cannot be validated by parties is void. You must understand the difference between void and voidable; voidable is for which declaration can be sought by one party about its illegality; for example a marriage of minor is voidable; and he/she can challenge the same after attaining the age of majority.
A marriage between prohibited degrees - say between brother and sister - is void. A void marriage remains void and cannot be validated by action of the parties.
