I am working abroad in oil industry. working schedule is 8 weeks duty 4 weeks leave. I have 5 years old son. Last time when I went on leave, one week after my arrival my wife attempted to commit suicide due to some argument between us. Immediately I have called for the emergency service and with in 15 minutes she was taken to hospital along with my in-laws who are just my neighbours. She was ok in few hours of treatment the same day. Initially they said they will go for a police complaint. but did not as the elders from both our families decided to wait for 2 month and make us sit together and decide because the wrong can be at both but not one end.

Now could you please tell me, what is the intensity or the impact if they now file a case on me. And how far I have to be cautious to get more protection in this regard.

While I was coming to my job, I have taken permission from my inlaws that I will call every sunday to talk to my son.

3 sundays was ok. but the fouth sunday my inlaws pick up phone and started asking me what are you talking to your son for a long time. He is talking very harsh after your phone. This is the sittuation still after a long gap. awaiting your suggessition at the earliest. Thanking you sir.
