thanks for fast and effective answers. to add further, sir a property is owned by hubby . co-owned by wife. they have a child . and wife + child r living seperately. and hubby is living in that property. so wat is ur legal opinion-

can that child also claim in that joint registered flat.

what are the total legal share of wife and child

in case the property is co owned by wife, she also has an equal right in the property and child automatically gets her mother's share and for the balance, a restraint order may be obtained against husband from disposing off the property or the share owned by him provided it causes prejudice to the wife and daughter. the daughter independently may not have a share in the self acquired property of her father but in ancestral property, she has an equal share.
