my father inherted immovable properties from his mother who was issueless and my farther was adopted by his mother after the death of my grand father during the minority of my father.on attaining majority the properties standing in the name of my father's mother who herself inherited the properties from her husband i.e.,my grand father were mutated in my fathers name. my question is;what is the status of these properties got from my grand mother during her life time in the name of my father who is the adopted son? are these properties got from my father's mother in the capacity of an adopted son-self acquired or ancestral properties?

no difference between adopted son and natural son.

these properties are ancestral and as stated by Mr. Pawse, law does not differentiate between Adopted and natural son.
