Legal Question in Family Law in India

My father in law is greedy for money and plans to file false 498a against me any my old parents.He is asking for a settlement amount of 1cr.My wife still obeys her father even after 1yr of our marriage.
Now should i waste my time fighting for this case or its better to give Supari for this greedy father in law which will cost me less than half of the settlement amount.

If you think it will solve the problem then do it. If it backfires then you will end up paying at least 3 to 4 times more than that amount. So think of it. There is always a saying that it is better to settle the thing with the person concerned than taking the help of other persons, if your true intentions are to come out of the problem..

instead of adopting illegal means, you may fight it out legally. asking for 1 cr does not mean that you will that kinda alimony. even if the court decides, it would depend upon your income, assets and paying capacity. better hire a good lawyer and fight back.
