Legal Question in Family Law in India
Hi! My father is a medical professional.. He was in love with ma mom for more that 6 years but his family situation made him to marry some other woman. But that lady left him (ran away) after 6 months and never came back. Then my father married my mother. I was born. we are running a happy family for 21 years. I am now 20. Before few years she contacted my dad and told him that she doesn't want my dad to be with her but need to be in contact. And also she had informed him that she has a daughter (kinda my age). My dad unwillingly agreed to avoid trouble because they are nt divorced yet. Now that daughter is getting married and that woman need ma dad suddenly to be with them. Me and mom knw all about his first marriage. We never cared abt that because ma dad loves us a lot and we love him too. Now that woman is trying to scare my dad like blackmail that she will get him in to trouble if he doesn't agree to be with them. Now we are worried because they dint get divorce yet. Is there any way to get rid of this? I want my parents to be happy like they were past 21 years. Can ma dad approach court and get divorce now? or is there any other way? Will he get in to any trouble? She is not ready to give divorce. Can my dad apply one now? will she make any pblm?
P.S I know its illegal but my dad has been wid ma mom for past 21 years. Pls don't judge. Help me!
