Re: Father's Property

you have all the rights on ur father's property if he dies intestate i.e. without making a will but if he makes a will, then the property has to be devolved according to the will. in case it is a joint family property and unpartitioned when ur father passed away, in this situation, u have all the rights in the property and stand at equal share with your brother.

Re: Father's Property

If the property in the hands of your father is ancestral, i.e. inherited by him from your grandfather, your rights are equal with that of your brother.

If the property of your father is 'self acquired' i.e. purchased/made by him from his own earnings, then your right will depend upon your father; he may choose to give you a share or he may chose not to give you a share.
