Legal Question in Family Law in India

If i file a divorce case against my wife on the basis of adultery in a family court.Will the co respondents, i.e the adultrer, be punished by family court or the co respondent will be punished only if i file case in criminal court. I only want divorce from my wife and dont want that the adulterer should be sentenced.

if u dont want to punish adulterer than file divorce in family court on the grounds of adultery only

family court has no jurisdiction to punish the adulterer. only if you file a criminal complaint against him, he be tried and prosecuted.
