I want to file for divorce in india but i am european and my husband is indian. He also holds european passport. He lives in india so can I divorce him there. We married in europe. we are seperated 2 years. it takes too long in europe to divorce so i want to divorce there?

yes, you can file a divorce petition in India through your attorney and for that you need to execute a power of attorney duly attested by the Indian consulate in Ireland. you need not appear in Indian courts and your attorney would appear on your behalf.

Instead of you filing divorce, you may ask your husband to seek divorce in india and he may obtain 'ex parte' divorce without your attending the court ever.
