Legal Question in Family Law in India

I filed for divorce in 2007 and it was on mutual consent we were getting divorced. The final date was in april2008, but i had to go abroad and couldn't attend the court for one year. When i went back in 2009, I found that the petition was dismissed because of my absence. Do i have to go through the process again, is there any faster way of getting decree?

you may have to go through the entire process again but as you cannot be present in the court for statement, you may appoint an attorney on your behalf and the divorce may be granted in your absence as well.
